Challenge

The building was in poor condition and the client’s intent was to re-purpose and extend existing. The integration from old to new exposed many latent conditions. The design team changed on a number of occasions, adding frustrations.

The site was additionally surrounded by a live environment that needed facilities, mainly over the weekends.

Solution

Experience. Our team on this project had to use all of our years of on-site construction knowledge to assist with design issues and resolutions.

Reliance used our RFI processes for submitting and tracking over 150 RFIs raised during this build. Reliance designed a temporary village to include all the facilities that were needed by the football and cricket clubs.

By the time we reached PC the outcome for the client and building users was very successful.

This project was in part an amenities upgrade. The existing building was to be re-purposed and extended to include, social room spaces, change rooms, kitchen and public amenities. It was located in-between 2 football ovals that where in use for the construction period.
