CHALLENGE

This major school project sought to enliven and extend outdated 1950s buildings to accommodate a growing school population. We created a new, curved wall, which included 50mm solid timber curved doors. This curve device was repeated within a new space where we built a series of curved private pods for teachers and students to catch up for one-on-one tutoring.

To update the existing classrooms, we polished the concrete floors, installed new doors and created new joinery walls using a clicking system. In the foyer area, we commissioned a series of bespoke aluminium lighting elements which were precisely cut to illuminate the classrooms and newly created spaces.
