Challenge

This heritage listed building had felt the effects of time and climate over the years. The building was moving, which was significantly affecting the structure built on the original footings.

Solution

The first stage was to stop any further movement, then works began on stabilising the building from below the ground, wall the way up to the slate roof.

The structure was reinforeced with concrete and steel, whilst ensuring the finishes remained faithful to the original construction methodology and material composition.
